Speaking with the fishes. (Naiad)

Alexis had had a rough day at school, the kids had made fun of her for being a freak and talking with the class pet. The girl didn't like how they treated Shelly the turtle, so she often talked with him about his feelings. When her class was done, Alexis made her way to Sheldon Park. It was one of the parks that actually had water. The strange, cute, girl made her way to a bridge and pulled out a book. Lightly she sat down and opened the book to the third chapter, soon you could see fish swimming in front of the girl in the water, and turtles floating, The group seemed to be listening to the story Alexis was reading.

"The woman walked for what seemed like hours, she was scared to stop. Cori feared that if she stopped running the bad men would catch her, but the blonde had a couple of tricks up her sleeves." Alexis kept reading the story as people passed by, most ignored her, some laughed and some stopped and listened. However the girl was approached by one of the boys at her school. "Hey freak! Who you reading to freak? your a freak freak!" the boy pushed the girl down in to the water and ran off. Alexis let out a piercing scream as she hit the water.

As the girl flailed around in the water she started to shift forms, soon a baby turtle was crawling up on the book that was floating down the river towards the harbor.
