Batman was investigating the appearance of another hero, with resemblance to the members of the Royal Flush Gang. He had been sighted primarily in the Burnley District, with appearances in other districts of Gotham not as frequent. Batman had triangulated Wild Card's position to be somewhere around this area. He was a few blocks away from the GCPD Precinct, the streets below crammed with last minute shoppers and wanderers. The Burnley District was dangerous for another reason; there was a deep and corrupt infrastructure within Burnley, which was overseen by the Gotham SWAT team. There was less street crime and mob activity here, but the GCPD was a force to be reckoned with as well. These were cops that killed, tortured, and maimed civilians and thugs alike. Their brutality and sheer strength in numbers were not to be taken lightly.
Batman watched the streets down below, enabling detective vision to isolate any individuals with a physical profile that matched Wild Card's. It would be an arduous task, considering the number of people roaming the streets below. Batman had all night, though. But that was no excuse to waste time. The Dark Knight continued to inspect the city for any sign of his target.

Gotham was such a dirty crime ridden city! This was Adam's home however and he couldn't bring himself to leave it. The city was always testing what Adam held to be true. Until earlier this week he thought magic wasn't real. His time Zatana taught him differently. Adam had spent his day in his base's workshop making new batches of his weapons and working on his suit. He had decided after his encounter with Zatana that he needed to add more safety measures to his suit. He did this by adding in a voice activated kill switch to his control gauntlet and adding an actual kill switch button to his computer console. That way if someone managed to get his suit from him he could immobilize them so he could get the suit back. After his work was done, Adam suited up even adding the optional cowl to cover his entire face once the domino mask was on. Adam then walked out of his underground base locking it up behind him and hiding the metal door entrance behind the old soda machine code system. He then summoned his hover card remotely using his gauntlet and hopped on activating the magnet to hold him on his ride. He then activated the gauntlets cloaking function so it looked like he wasn't wearing it and flew up into the sky.
After about an hour of flying through the district, Wild Card spotted someone that he thought he would never meet. He saw Batman perched on a roof top looking down like he was watching for someone. As Wild Card started to hover towards the Dark Knight something caught his eye. Down below a mother was walking through an alley probably as a short cut. They were being followed by a group of four big men. three of the men had knives out and the fourth had a gun. Wild Card quickly rushed down toward the crowd deactivating the magnet in his hover card so he could dismount. As he fell through the air and his ride cloaked itself, Wild Card quickly turned his body so that his feet went into one of the knife wielding thugs back knocking him into the others causing them to fall over. This made the mother turn to see her attackers. She quickly picked up her son and ran leaving Wild Card Alone to fight the remaining thugs as they got up.
"Didn't you know it's a school night boys? Your parents are gonna be mad that you missed your curfews. Looks like you need to learn a lesson."
Wild Card grinned at the thugs aggrivated expressions. He then took his fighting stance as the two remaining knife wielders ran at him and tried to slice him up. Adam quickly dodged their attacks, his suit increasing his agility slightly. As one of the thugs tried to stab Wild Cards stomach he quickly grabbed his wrist under his arm and dislocated it causing the man to yell out in pain and drop his knife. Adam then kicked the side of the thugs knee hard making it make a loud popping sound. To finish him off he just delivered a hard punch to the face sending him into a group of trash cans. Seeing his friend getting tossed aside made the last knife holding thug angry. He ran at Wild Card slashing at him which Wild Card avoided. He then jumped back and got a running start at the thug and kicked him hard in the gut making him double over in pain. Adam then kneed him in the face knocking him out. That only left the gun holder.
The two locked eyes with each other and the gunman took aim. Adam quickly scooped up one of the knives off the ground and quickly threw it for the guns bullet hole as the man pulled the trigger. The bullet being blocked caused the gun to explode in the mans hand causing it to be filled with shrapnel. Adam quickly took his chance and ran at the man sweeping his feet out from under him. Before he hit the ground however, Wild Card sent a fast spin kick into the mans side causing him to fly back against the wall out cold. Adam huffed and sucked in a deep breath and looked at the four unconcious thugs. He pulled out some of his elastic rope cards and used them to tie up the thugs. Wild Card then used his gauntlet to call in a nameless tip about the four. He then called for his hover and hopped on and flew up into the sky and cloaked himself and watched as some officers from the GCPD came and picked up the group hearing them ask each other if the Bat had done it. Adam just sighed and flew for the building that Batman was perched on and landed on the roof and turned off his suits stealth mode but kept his card cloaked.
"Hello Batman, I have waited for this meeting for years. My name is Wild Card. I've been following your work, nice job with those Assassins and the Joker. It seems that things around here are changing. You arn't the only hero around anymore. I've already met another on our side, a woman by the name of Zatana."
Wild Card then leaned against a brick wall crossing his arms just watching the dark knight to see what his next move would be.

Batman sensed the camouflaged hero above him with detective vision, which confirmed the card as a trademark tool of the Royal Flush Gang. He watched the Wild Card apprehend the criminals, and noted his style. When Wild Card returned, Batman remained indifferent. "Your cloaking systems left behind a distinct heat trail." Batman pointed up to the place where Wild Card had been spying on him from. He was quick to criticize, but he would also show praise for the young hero when needed.
"You are not to resume any more field work," Batman growled. Batman didn't take lightly to young blood walking around the streets thinking they were heroes. "Your actions will have serious repercussions if you continue," Batman said. "There are people in this city who can take your life in a second." The Dark Knight narrowed his eyes.
"Until further notice, you will not resume your field work..." Batman said. "Under any circumstances," he finished. The Wild Card was not yet a refined hero. He had tons of untapped potential, Batman could see that. But he needed some polishing to become the professional he saw himself as. Adam was a kid with lots of power and skill. The world could use a hero like him. But he also needed to acquire some additional experience before going out into the field.
((Bats is critiquing him, but he will commend him once he does build stuff and prove his worth.))

Wild Card just scowled as Batman began to scold him about how his cloaking tech left a trail. WC already knew this of course and was working on a way to fix that. WC then just listened to the Bat spout orders of how he was not allowed to work in the field anymore unless he himself said so. WC just rolled his eyes under his mask and crossed his arms and leaned back against a brick wall as Batman tried to boss him around. All that did was begin to piss him off. WC began to think back to the day that Batman and the Royal Flush Gang destroyed his home and left him homeless. WC stood up straight and walked toward Batman with a glare in his eyes. He wasn't going to take this shit. He wasn't going to take it from the person who helped create him.
"Listen up Batman and listen well! That whole intimidation thing may work on the scum on the streets but it will not work with me! You are not the only soldier in this war anymore and even though you like to think so you are NOT a one man army! More and more of us are rising up to fight the good fight and I bet some of them you helped create! You may see me as a child but trust me Batman, you are not such a pro yourself! I have seen that first hand! I have been at this just as long as you have and wanna know a little secret?! You are part of the reason why but not in the good way! So next time you decide to go off on one of your high and mighty speeches why don't you stop and think "Hey, I'm not perfect eather, I might just be creating more problems for myself by turning these people away." So ya know what Dark Knight? Save it."
WC then walked away from Batman and got back on his hover card and started floating with his arms crossed being held on by the magnet.
"If you wanna continue this conversation, come find me."
WC then took off high and fast into the air heading toward the edge of the district instead of back to his base. He didn't want the Bat knowing where he lived. That could spell trouble for Adam. As he flew through the air he tried to relax and go over the day in his head. To help him relax he thought of something pretty, he thought of the Magician Zatana and all that she had shown him. She was a good person who he hoped to run into again sometime. He then began to wonder what other heroes were out there in the world. It fascinated him highly.

Batman quickly followed him with his grapple. "Dressing up in a costume does not make you a hero," he said, maintaining his standpoint. "This is not intimidation. This is an attempt to prevent you from getting yourself killed," Batman replied to Wild Card. The older hero did care for the lives of others, or he would not be trying to urge Wild Card to end his vigilantism. Kids could get hurt out in Gotham; or even killed. There was too much risk, too high of a risk. Batman couldn't take that chance. He had failed to save lives before. He could not fail again. Batman did not stand down - his eyes continued looking down at Adam emotionlessly.
The Wild Card was roaming the city as a loose and potentially dangerous person, as well. Batman couldn't afford to have any loose ends in the city. There were enough as it is. "Men like Penguin or Black Mask will not hesitate to kill you if you cross their paths," Batman growled. "There are no rules in Gotham that guarantee your safety." Batman hoped that Wild Card would abandon his foolishness and return to his engineering work. Batman did not sanction young kids running around and playing heroes. They would only get killed.
