Well, here goes nothing! In order to allow a community of balanced characters and such, please follow these guidelines to create a character that will mesh well within the site!
-Superhuman characters ARE allowed. These include characters with enhanced strength, durability, etc. Or telekinesis, healing and all that good stuff. Superpowers and expert-level skills are permitted, but keep them under wraps using some stipulations discussed below.
-Respect canon foundations. We don't need a character running around that is three times as smart and twice as skilled as Batman, or something like that. Your characters may equal or exceed canons in certain fields, but do not overdo it. Try to respect canon foundations by not making an OC that surpasses a canon in all or most of the canon's areas of expertise. If a staffie tells you to alter your app to make your character more balanced or such, take the advice and improve! It's why we're here.
-Make your characters have weaknesses to balance out their skills/abilities. Even Batman has weaknesses, it's what makes him human and relatable. We aren't asking for much here; we just want some physical and mental vulnerabilities that help to flesh out your character and balance out their abilities.
-Do not make a carbon copy of a canon from DC comics or any other media. These characters are unique, and your characters should be as well!
Now, let's go over some rules for those wishing to play (or are playing) canon characters:
-Do not godmod with your canon. We do NOT tolerate canon elitism here; being a canon doesn't equal an insta-win in a fight, or any other such things. We want OCs and canons to thrive together at the site; we don't want any group to overshadow the other.
-You may only play four canons at a time. Make sure that these canons don't really have interactions between one another, so that you have more roleplaying versatility and enjoyment.
-You must post relatively actively when playing a canon. If you have not posted in a month, your canon will be up for grabs.
Thanks for reading, and good luck!
