Zatanna had set up for this occasion last night. She had also met up with a kid from school, the young man had given back her tarot cards, she had then met up with a young boy named Adam. but now she had to get ready for her first show in Gotham. Zatanna had started with a shower, then put on her uniform and headed out to the car that awaited her. Normaly the woman would just poof over but she liked sight seeing before her show. Besides it was always good to see her fans before the doors opened.
As the car pulled up to the Gotham Theater she smiled and got out of the car, the fans were all excited and screaming her name. "Zatanna over here!" was yelled all over the place. As the woman walked up to the crowd she shook some hands and took some pictures with her fans. She walked to the stairs and looked back at all the people. "Welcome One and All to the Zatanna Zatara Magic Show" With that said she threw her arms up and doves flew out of her sleeves, this made the crowd go wild.
When she was finally in the building and in her dressing room. She waited on the stage manager to tell her it was time to go on for the show. Zatanna looked in to the mirror and smiled.

It was her mother's idea to go to the show. Anniken loved the strange things of the surface and loved introducing them to her daughter more it seemed. Already Sokuuf had been forced to watch animated movies, had eaten cow and pig, and had been introduced to the horrors of shopping. Sokuuf was a modest person, something that didn't mix well with her mother's "if you got it, flaunt it" philosophy.
This time, her mother had decided to take her to a magic show. In all honesty, Sokuuf was interested in the idea of seeing another sorcerer. How did surface dwellers perform magic? Atlantean magic ran through their blood and was strengthened by their energy and piece of mind. Mages start off learning easy spells, like translation spells and spells to raise the tide, most of which are rendered useless as they learn to control water more directly. Sokuuf didn't thing that surface dweller's magic was anything like hers, but who could tell for sure?
"There she is," her mother said to her, pointing at a beautiful raven-haired woman. Sokuuf watched as the woman charmed her fans. "Zatanna Zatara."
Sokuuf watched, enchanted, as the woman welcomed them and seemingly summoned doves from her sleeves before walking into the building they stood before. Sokuuf smiled as they were allowed in shortly afterwards. Anniken grinned as the two were led to their seats, seats that were in front of the stage.
"I had to splurge for this, Soku," her mother said, grabbing her daughter's hands, "I'm sure you'll love the show."
"I thank you for this, mother," Sokuuf'oren smiled, glancing up at her mother as her fingers lifted to caress her necklace. "I am sure I will."
The idea of magic reminded her of home; of learning from Queen Mera, and of training alongside Garth, Tula and Kaldur'ahm. Those three...her best friends. Each of them as perfect as a pearl. How she wished they could be with her now.
The lights dimmed suddenly, signaling the beginning of a show. Sokuuf looked at the stage, waiting for the magician to appear, and forced her hand away from her necklace. There was no need to reminisce just yet, she would see them all soon.

Zatanna watched from back stage as the lights dimmed, with a smile the woman walked out on stage, making her way to the front she removed her hat and bowed. She then walked over to a table and put her hat down. Zatanna looked at her hat and tapped it with her finger "Hmm It seems as if my hat is broken." Lightly Zatanna tapped her hat with her wand. "Tibbar!" soon a rabbit jumped out of her hat and looked at the crowd. "Ah now that's better." The crowd went wild and Zatanna smiled. How she loved making people happy.
Next Zatanna had welcomed one of her assistants to the stage, the man had been dressed in a tux with out the jacket. "Alright my good friend, stand in the box, keep your head here, your torso here and your feet down there." The man nodded as Zatanna closed the door to each box. Turning to the audience she smiled. I will now split my partner in too three pieces." Zatanna turned a slight bit and mumbled under her breath and soon the creates split themselves and moved away from each other. Zatanna opened the first box showing her partners head, untouched and unhurt, she then closed the box and laughed. "It seems my partner is in pieces, lets put him back together." She walked over and placed a box on top of the other than the head box on the top. she then hit her wand on the box and smiled. She opened the first box and the mans feet were in place of his head. "oops" She then opened the rest and the man walked out on his hands. The crowd clapped and cheerd as Zatanna and her partner took a bow together. The rest of the show seemed just like any other stage magic. Making flowers show up, pulling bunnies out of funny places, making things seemed like they floated when they really were, and of course she even hypnotized a member of the audience.
The volunteer stood on the stage as Zatanna placed her hands on the mans head. the man looked as if he was asleep on stage. "Alright Charles when I count to three your going to be a crazy Justin Beiber fan girl getting ready to go to one of his concerts." Zatanna then walked towards the stage and smiled. "One, I like Justin, hes an ok kid. I have nothing against him just find fan girls funny. Two Zatanna Zatara hopes that you all are having and Three Lets se-" Zatanna was cut off by the man as he stood up and squealed. "Are we leaving yet! we are going to be late!"

The show was strange. Zatanna was funny and pretty, but her magic was bizarre. Pulling animals out of nowhere? It was unheard of in Atlantis. Why would you have to pull them out of something when you could ask them to assist you in anything?
Still, the rabbits looked very soft, something else she hadn't known in Atlantis. Textures were limited when everything was waterlogged. Sokuuf had quickly discovered how nice a cat's fur was, and how smooth a bird's feather could be. So many textures, everywhere! It was a change, as before her knowledge of textures was quite limited.
Zatanna did an impressive trick involving splitting her partner into pieces, one which made Anniken squeal in excitement. Magic and trickery was associated with the Norse figure Loki in her mother's beliefs, so it seemed that the trick was something Loki would do. But Sokuuf wasn't quite sure of what to think. After all, she was a child of Poseidon.
The magic of the surface did not always seem like true magic. It seemed more like distractions at times, while at others it seemed that it was true magic gifted by the Goddess Hekate. Sokuuf wasn't quite sure what it truly was. Real or fake?
Anniken, to her credit, did not seem to care. "Magic and trickery go hand in hand, child. Maybe you should volunteer to see it for yourself?"
Sokuuf'oren had laughed softly, before returning her attention to the stage, where Zatanna was hypnotizing a man from the audience. Sokuuf didn't know what a 'bee-bur' fan girl was, but watching a grown man act much younger was highly entertaining for many of the audience. Sokuuf smiled gently: if that was all volunteering would lead to in this show, then the Atlantean would do so for her mother.
She leaned back in her chair, deciding that she would raise her hand if the magician asked for a volunteer.
